Adamawa State Launches Electric Tricycles for Transport

On a recent date, the governments of Adamawa State and five other northeastern states inaugurated a fleet of electric tricycles in Numan, Adamawa State, as part of efforts to address the rising cost of transportation in the region. The initiative, led by P Gat Industries, aims to deploy 300 electric tricycles for commercial use, offering a modern transport solution with reduced fares.

Traditional ruler Hama Bata, Gladson Tenek, expressed optimism that the tricycles would create job opportunities for youth and enhance the region's internal revenue. Engr. Prime Timothi, during the summit, noted that the electric tricycles would alleviate the burden of commuting for workers and emphasized the importance of good road infrastructure to support the initiative.

Dr. Nafisa Tijani, representing Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, conveyed goodwill messages, highlighting the scheme's potential to improve the investment climate in the region. The electric tricycles are assembled by Nigerian technicians trained by former military safety instructors.
