Northern Youths Demand Investigation of El-Rufai Over NSA Hack

A coalition of youth groups in Northern Nigeria, including the Coalition of Northern Nigeria Youth Group and Northern Youth Frontier, has called for a federal investigation into former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai. The groups allege that El-Rufai was involved in the hacking of the phone belonging to the National Security Adviser (NSA), which they claim compromises national security.

Sama Musa, the chairman of the Northern Youth Frontier, emphasized that the issue transcends political disputes and poses a grave threat to Nigeria's intelligence architecture. The groups assert that the hacking allowed unauthorized individuals to access sensitive discussions, potentially benefiting El-Rufai directly.

They demand that security agencies conduct a thorough investigation to identify and prosecute those involved, in accordance with the Cybercrime Act. The coalition further urges the federal government to treat this matter seriously, highlighting El-Rufai's history of defiance against law enforcement and the implications of allowing such breaches to go unpunished.
