Southern Kaduna Youths Demand Probe into El-Rufai's Tenure

Youth leaders from Southern Kaduna have publicly criticized a pro-El-Rufai group, asserting that individuals within this group do not represent the interests of the region. They called for an investigation into the alleged mismanagement of N432 billion during former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai's administration.

The coalition, which includes former youth leader Nasiru Jagaba and Derek Christoph from the Southern Kaduna Peace and Security Network, emphasized the need for transparency regarding public funds, particularly those allegedly paid to armed groups. They referenced specific incidents of violence and property destruction during El-Rufai's tenure, including the detention of Dr. Ishaku Damina without trial.

The coalition urged security and anti-corruption agencies to investigate these allegations and demanded public disclosure of financial transactions related to security expenditures. They reiterated their support for President Bola Tinubu's administration while emphasizing the need for accountability and transparency in the management of public funds.
