NPA Launches One-Stop System to Boost Exports

The Nigerian Port Authority (NPA) has unveiled a comprehensive strategy to boost Nigeria's non-oil exports by introducing a one-stop system designed to enhance the participation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This initiative was announced by the Managing Director of NPA, Abubakar Dantsoho, during the 37th Enugu International Trade Fair.

Dantsoho emphasized the importance of connecting local producers to the global market, particularly through the Enugu commercial gateway, which presents vast opportunities for export expansion, especially in agro-allied products. The NPA has committed to removing long-standing bottlenecks that hinder export competitiveness as part of its central reform agenda.

The new export process, termed EPT, aims to simplify and streamline procedures, significantly reducing delays and inefficiencies. The NPA is also pursuing full automation of its processes and implementing a National Single Window (NSW) system to facilitate seamless interaction among stakeholders in the trade value chain.

This initiative is expected to enhance efficiency and open new export opportunities for businesses across Nigeria.
