NPF to Launch Vigilant App and MTN CUG Network

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Dis, is set to officially launch the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Vigilant App and MTN Closed User Group (CUG) Network on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Nigeria Police Resource Centre in FCT, Abuja. This information was provided in a statement by the Force Spokesperson, CSP Ani Iniedu.

The initiative is part of the NPF's ongoing efforts to strengthen technology-driven policing, enhance communication, and improve operational efficiency. The NPF Vigilant App is designed to facilitate better engagement, information sharing, and communication between the Police and the public.

Meanwhile, the MTN CUG Network will offer a dedicated communication platform for seamless interaction among police personnel. The launch reflects the commitment of the Inspector-General of Police to utilize modern technology and strategic partnerships to enhance policing, improve internal coordination, and deliver better service to Nigerians.
