NPFL and Afrinvest Collaborate for Digital Growth

Afrinvest has strengthened its partnership with the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) to promote digital transformation and sustainable revenue growth for football clubs. This commitment was reaffirmed during the NPFL–Afrinvest Media and Marketing Workshop held in Enugu, where media officers and marketing heads from all 20 NPFL clubs received training on branding, digital visibility, sponsorship attraction, and fan engagement.
NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Chief Davidson Owunmi, urged clubs to embrace digital transformation, highlighting that inadequate data and poor online visibility hinder the league's ability to attract major commercial partners. He stressed the importance of generating high-quality content and statistics to build a robust central database.
Owunmi also called for financial independence from government funding, stating that reliance on government allocations is unsustainable. Emmanuel Eleojo, Manager of Afrinvest’s Enugu Office, emphasized that sound financial management is crucial for the success of Nigerian football.
Amobi Ezeaku, General Manager of Rangers International, also participated in the discussions.
