Kano Pillars Kick Off Preparations for New NPFL Season

Kano Pillars have officially begun their preparations for the 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The club held its first training session on Monday morning at Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.

The training was conducted by the technical crew led by current coach Ahm Garba, alongside goalkeeper trainer Gambo Muhammad and newly appointed technical adviser Daniel Ogunmoded. Ogunmoded has signed a two-year contract with the club.

Kano Pillars, a four-time NPFL champion, narrowly avoided relegation at the end of a challenging campaign last season. As they return to pre-season, the team is focused on competing for the NPFL title and securing a place in continental competitions by the end of the 2026/27 season.
