Ogunmodede Joins Kano Pillars as Technical Advisor

Kano Pillars has appointed Daniel Ogunmodede as their new technical advisor on a two-year deal, confirmed in a statement on their official X account. Ogunmodede, popularly known as Ijabal, holds a UEFA B license and previously had a successful stint with Remo Stars, where he guided the team to their first-ever NPFL title during the 2024-2025 season.

He replaces Muhammad Babaganaru, who led the team to a narrow 15th place finish in the 2025-2026 NPFL season, avoiding relegation with 48 points from 38 matches. Ogunmodede's appointment is part of an ongoing restructuring effort to strengthen the technical bench and improve performance in both domestic and continental competitions.

He will work alongside former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa, who remains an experienced player at the club. The official unveiling of Ogunmodede is expected to take place as preparations intensify for the new league campaign.
