Kano Pillars FC Loses Appeal Over Points Deduction

Kano Pillars FC has lost its appeal regarding a three-point and three-goal deduction imposed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). The appeal committee upheld the earlier sanctions, which were a result of crowd disturbances during the club's home fixture against Shooting Stars at Sani Abacha Stadium on October 8, 2025.

The NFF's disciplinary body cited serious regulatory violations, including the assault on match officials, as justification for the penalties. In addition to the point and goal deductions, Kano Pillars FC was fined a total of 9.5 million Naira and ordered to close their stadium indefinitely.

This ruling complicates the club's efforts to avoid relegation in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), as they continue to struggle in the league table following these sanctions.
