Nasarawa United's Mangut Optimistic After Recent Victory
Mbwas Mangut, the technical adviser for Nasarawa United, stated that his team will improve as the season progresses after securing a 1-0 victory against Bendel Insurance in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday two encounter held at the Lafia City Stadium on Sunday. The decisive goal was scored by Sam Pam ten minutes after the break.
This victory followed a disappointing start to the season for Nasarawa United, who suffered a 3-1 defeat to Barau FC in their opening match. Mangut acknowledged the difficulties posed by Bendel Insurance but expressed optimism about his team's development, stating, “We are improving game in, game out.” He noted the blend of experience and youth within the squad and is confident that they will continue to enhance their performance as the campaign unfolds.
Nasarawa United's next challenge will be against the defending champions, Rangers.
