NPFL Sanctions Nasarawa United for Security Breach

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has imposed sanctions on Nasarawa United following a security breach during their match against Kun Khalifat FC on Matchday 33. The club failed to provide adequate security, allowing unauthorized individuals to access restricted areas, which led to a fine of N1 million.

Additionally, the club was fined N1 million for unsporting behavior after supporters threw objects at match officials and another N1 million for improper conduct, where fans harassed officials and held them hostage for 20 minutes. As a result of these violations, Nasarawa United will play their next two home matches without fans in attendance.

The club has 48 hours to appeal the sanctions imposed by the league body.
