Godwin Obaje Leads NPFL Goalscorers After Rangers Win

In the latest updates from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), Godwin Obaje of Enugu Rangers has emerged as the top goalscorer, netting his 11th goal of the season during a 2-0 victory against El Kanemi Warriors, which propelled Rangers to the summit of the league table. Obaje is ahead of other notable players, including Abdulrahman Uch, Joseph Arumala, and Victor Mbaoma, who each have 10 goals.

In a separate incident, tensions flared in Owerri as Ikorodu City FC's coach, Bright Ozebagb, accused player Olarewaju Molad of assault following a 2-2 draw against Khalifat FC at Dan Anyiam Stadium. Ozebagb reported that Molad was attacked in the tunnel, leading to his sending off during the match.

Despite this setback, Ikorodu City remains third in the league with 49 points. Elsewhere, Barau FC managed a goalless draw against Wikki Tourists, while Kano Pillars FC faced a 2-0 defeat against Enyimba FC.
