Cleric Accuses Ribadu of Diverting US Troops from Christians

Dachomo, an outspoken cleric from Plateau State and chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations, accused Nuhu Ribadu of diverting U.S. military units away from Christian communities in Plateau State. This allegation was made in a video message released on Friday, where Dachomo recalled a previous appeal to former U.S.

President Donald Trump for troop deployment to help address the violence targeting Christians in the region. Despite this appeal, U.S. military actions have reportedly focused on airstrikes in Sokoto State against insurgent groups like ISWAP and Boko Haram.

Dachomo claimed that the deployment of U.S. troops to other areas, rather than Plateau State, was intended to protect Muslim communities while violence against predominantly Christian areas continues. He warned that the ongoing violence in the Middle Belt region is forcing residents to defend themselves and claimed that the deployment of foreign troops benefits Muslim communities over Christian groups.
