NSCDC Arrests 112 Vandals in FCT in 2025, Urges Public Support

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) arrested 112 alleged vandals in 2025, targeting critical national assets and infrastructure. NSCDC FCT Commandant, Olusola Odumosu, revealed the breakdown of arrests by month, including cases of theft of cables, telecommunications equipment, and streetlights.

Odumosu emphasized the need for public cooperation to provide credible intelligence to curb vandalism. Ongoing cases and convictions were mentioned, stressing the impact of vandalism on various sectors.

The NSCDC remains committed to protecting public installations and assets from destruction.
