NSCDC Arrests 10 Suspects in Abuja Criminal Ring Bust

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has successfully dismantled a criminal ring in Abuja, arresting 10 suspects linked to various offenses, including vandalism, theft, and kidnapping. The operation was executed by the elite Special Intelligence Squad under the direct command of NSCDC's General Commandant, Prof.

Ahm Audi. According to NSCDC spokesman Afolabi Babawal, six suspects were apprehended for vandalizing electrical communication installations and stealing government property, with significant recoveries including large quantities of armored cables and heavy-duty tools.

Notable arrests included Suleiman Ibrahim and Umar Rabiu, both caught in the act at Jabi Park and Berger Junction, respectively. Additionally, four other suspects were arrested for kidnapping and cattle rustling offenses.

The head of the Special Intelligence Squad, Apollo Dandaura, reported that suspects were intercepted near manholes around Berger Roundabout, leading to an armed confrontation. The suspects confessed to their crimes and will face trial, as NSCDC reaffirms its commitment to protecting national infrastructure and assets.
