NSCDC Conducts Strategic Training for Enhanced Security

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), led by Commandant General Prof. Ahm Abubakar Audi, reaffirmed its critical role in Nigeria's national security framework during the opening of a two-day strategic training program in Abuja.

The training aimed to enhance the capacity of personnel in research methodologies and operational delivery. Audi described the NSCDC's role as unique and indispensable for national stability and development.

He emphasized the need for the Corps to adopt research-driven approaches to address emerging security threats and to improve service delivery. The training attracted participants from 36 state commands and various directorates within the NSCDC.

Key speakers included Babawal Afolabi, who outlined the training's objectives, and Peter Okloho, who reminded attendees of the importance of maintaining professional knowledge. Dr.

Ogunshola Folashad stressed the necessity for security personnel to combine operational competence with critical thinking skills to tackle contemporary security challenges effectively.
