NSCDC Trains 200 Officers for VIP Protection in Zamfara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) conducted a training program for 200 officers in Zamfara State, specifically aimed at enhancing their skills for VIP protection. This maiden edition of the training lasted two weeks and was held at the Zamfara College of Arts and Science in Gusau.

Sani Mustapha, the state command head, emphasized the importance of equipping personnel with the skills, discipline, and ethics required for the protection of high-profile individuals. The training aligns with the NSCDC's expanded mandate and is part of a broader initiative to build enduring operational discipline and professionalism among its members.

This initiative is also in response to a federal executive order issued by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2025, which focuses on enhancing the NSCDC's capabilities in VIP protection.
