NSE Announces National Engineering Golf Event for 2026

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has announced that the national engineering golf event will take place on October 31, 2026, at the Tyb Intern Golf Club in Abuja. This event is part of the second phase of an annual multi-sport competition, which will also include a football competition scheduled for November 21 at the Turf Arena in Abuja.

NSE President Ali Rabiu, representing the society's Deputy President Valeri Agberagba, stated that the initiative has grown beyond a mere sports event to promote healthy living and foster unity among engineers since its launch in 2011. The program aims to provide engineers, who work tirelessly across various sectors of the economy, with opportunities to engage in physical activities and promote overall fitness.

Rabiu emphasized that the event serves as a strategic platform for social interaction among professionals, government officials, private sector leaders, and diplomats. Giandomenico Massari, Chairman of the 2026 National Engineering Games Committee, described the competition as a celebration of teamwork within the engineering profession.

The event will kick off with a marathon walk and indoor sports event in Abuja, concluding on November 29 at the International Conference Centre in Maiduguri, where winners will be honored.
