NSE Launches 2026 National Engineering Games in Abuja

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) officially launched the 2026 National Engineering Games in Abuja, emphasizing the importance of physical fitness and professional networking among engineers. NSE President Ali Rabiu stated that the games, introduced in 2011, provide engineers with an opportunity to unwind from their demanding schedules and promote overall well-being.

The event serves as a platform for social interaction among engineers, government officials, and private sector stakeholders. Giandomenico Massari, the chairman of the 2026 National Engineering Games Committee, described the event as a celebration of unity and teamwork within the engineering profession.

The games will feature various sports activities, including a marathon walk in honor of former NSE President Habu Gumel, and will take place in stages across Abuja and Maiduguri, concluding with a ceremony on November 29, 2026. The event aims to foster a healthy work-life balance and promote inclusivity within the engineering community.
