NTAC Director General Yusuf Yakub Takes Action Against 'Japa' Syndrome Exploitation

The Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC) aims to end the exploitation of Nigeria's manpower through the 'Japa' syndrome, a term referring to irregular migration. The Director General, Hon Yusuf Yakub, highlighted efforts to boost earnings from the diaspora legally.

NTAC has seen an increase in scope, deploying 396 volunteers in various countries over the past two years. The agency now focuses on soft power diplomacy and aims to be a hub for exporting manpower.

Notable achievements include Nigerians holding key positions abroad. Yakub emphasized the agency's role in showcasing Nigerian professionals globally and fostering international cooperation.
