NTDA and NIPR Collaborate to Boost Nigeria's Tourism

The Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA) and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) have joined forces to advance tourism in Nigeria by utilizing the country's high score in the Culture Reputation Index. Dr.

Ik Neliaku, the President and Chairman of the Governing Council of NIPR, received a delegation from NTDA, led by Director General Mr. Ola Awakan.

They agreed that culture is a cornerstone of tourism development, with Nigeria's cultural score being the highest among the seven pillars measured by the index. Mr.

Awakan highlighted the importance of storytelling to promote Nigeria's vast cultural tourism potential. The collaboration aims to redefine the narrative around Nigeria, encouraging citizens to act as good ambassadors for the country.

Mr. Awakan also expressed gratitude to the NIPR leadership for hosting the meeting and emphasized Nigeria's pivotal role in Africa's public relations profession.

The NTDA plans to engage the private sector through viable public-private partnership initiatives to ensure sustainability in tourism development.
