Kogi Federal University Secures N3bn for Academic Growth

Kogi Federal University has successfully secured N3 billion to bolster its technological and academic excellence, as disclosed by Professor Ibiley during a press briefing in Lokoja. This funding, part of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) intervention, aims to enhance the university's infrastructure and research capabilities.

Professor Ibiley highlighted that the university would receive an annual intervention of N335 million from TETFund, with additional special interventions of N700 million and N400 million committed for upgrading laboratories and classrooms. The university has also achieved accreditation from the National Universities Commission for eight academic programs, including Mass Communication and Computer Science.

Furthermore, the institution is establishing partnerships with various international universities to enhance research and teacher development. Professor Ibiley noted the importance of engaging external stakeholders to strengthen the university's academic system and ensure a stable learning environment.
