NUC Approves New Postgraduate Programs at Newgate University

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved new postgraduate programs for Newgate University Minna in Niger State. The approved programs include a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Management, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, and Public Health, along with master's degrees in various disciplines such as Business Administration, Public Health, and Computer Science.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Sadiq Yussuf, confirmed that the university will also offer PhD programs in Computer Science, Public Health, and Accounting. This approval marks a major milestone in the academic growth of the six-year-old institution, which currently has a student population of 2,000 enrolled in 14 programs.

Professor Yussuf expressed appreciation for the support received from the Niger State government and emphasized the university's commitment to maintaining high academic standards and quality staff to deliver postgraduate education in accordance with national standards.
