NUC Inspects Tsafe Health University for Academic Readiness

The National Universities Commission (NUC) conducted an inspection of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Technology, Tsafe (FUHST) in Zamfara State to evaluate its preparedness for commencing academic programs. The inspection, led by NUC's Deputy Director Alhaji Moham Adamu, took place last week and aimed to assess the university's compliance with regulatory requirements, including the availability of qualified personnel, teaching facilities, laboratories, libraries, and essential academic materials necessary for program accreditation.

The verification team examined various proposed academic programs, including Medicine, Surgery (MBBS), Dentistry (BDS), Pharmacy (PharmD), Occupational Therapy, Biotechnology, and Artificial Intelligence. Professor Muhammad Manga, who led the verification team for the MBBS and Dentistry programs, commended the university's investment in academic resources.

Dr. Umar Farouk Abubakar, a member of the Pharmacy verification team, praised the university's curriculum design for aligning with core curriculum minimum academic standards.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Ibrahim Adamu Yakasai, expressed gratitude to the verification team for their professional assessment and valuable recommendations.
