NUJ Condoles with THISDAY Correspondent on Father's Death

The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ekiti State Council has extended its condolences to Mr. Gbenga Sodeind, a correspondent for THISDAY Newspaper, on the passing of his father, HRM Oba Olufemi Adisa Sodeind, who lived to the age of 100.

A statement issued by the council's chairman, Kayod Babatuyi, and signed by the union's secretary, O. Seun Ogunsakin, described the late monarch as a revered traditional ruler who exemplified wisdom, integrity, and selfless service to humanity.

The council noted that the reign of the late Oba brought peace, stability, and development to the Iju Gbalelefa community in Ogun State. NUJ emphasized the legacy of the late monarch, which continues to inspire generations.

The union expressed deep sympathy to Mr. Sodeind and his entire family, acknowledging the irreplaceable loss to the Sodeind dynasty and the people of Iju Gbalelefa.

The council urged the family and community to find solace in the impactful life lived by the late monarch.
