NUJ Supports Families of Deceased Journalists in Kebbi

On Saturday, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kebbi State Council held its annual Ramadan support event, distributing rice and cash to families of deceased journalists. The event, led by state chairman Alhaji Bello Muham Sarki, aimed to honor the sacrifices made by journalists in the state and country.

Sarki highlighted the importance of continuing this tradition, which has been modified and sustained by past leadership. He commended the Kebbi State government for its support, particularly towards the families of deceased journalists, and appealed to Governor Nasir Idris to provide a befitting secretariat for the NUJ.

Special adviser to the governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Idris Zuru, praised the work of journalists in the state and acknowledged the sacrifices made by the deceased, ensuring that their contributions would not be in vain. The event served as a reminder of the ongoing support for the families left behind.
