NUPRC: Nigeria’s Crude Oil Production Rose 10% Y-o-Y to 1.71m Bpd in July

Nigeria's crude oil production increased by 10% year-on-year to 1.71 million barrels per day in July, according to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). The production comprised 1.36 million barrels per day of crude oil and 0.35 million barrels per day of condensate.

The Forcados terminal recorded the highest output at 0.5 million barrels, followed by the Bonny terminal at 0.3 million barrels. However, the NNPC's Group CEO, Bayo Ojulari, highlighted the issue of crude oil theft by international syndicates, emphasizing the need for collaboration among African military formations to address the problem.

Ojulari noted that efforts to combat theft and vandalism have led to a significant improvement in the operating environment, with pipeline availability increasing to close to 100%. He urged continued collaboration to enhance energy security across the continent.
