NUPRC and NLNG Collaborate to Boost Gas Production

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) are deepening their collaboration to boost gas production in Nigeria. Oritsemeyewa Eyesan, the Chief Executive of NUPRC, reaffirmed the commission's commitment to creating a business-friendly environment that advances the federal government's gas agenda.

This commitment was made during a visit with NLNG's Managing Director, Adeley Falad, in Abuja. Eniola Akinkuotu, the head of media and corporate communications at NUPRC, stated that the commission is focused on resolving industry issues proactively to enhance investor confidence and increase final investment decisions.

Falad highlighted NLNG's strategy to dedicate 100% of its liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products to the domestic market and noted that Train 7 is expected to commence operations next year, which will increase production capacity by 35%. The collaboration aims to sustain gas supply and strengthen export capacity.
