NUPRC Reports 97.4% DCSO Performance in Q2 2026

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) released its Q2 2026 statistics on the Domestic Crude Supply Obligation (DCSO), indicating a performance rate of 97.4%. Between April and June, a total of 53.7 million barrels of crude oil and condensate were supplied to local refiners.

The NUPRC actively administered and enforced the DCSO, meeting with stakeholders, including crude oil producers and local licensed refineries, to allocate specific volumes for local refiners. In April, producers were allocated 18,127,638 barrels but supplied 20,879,381 barrels, achieving 114.9% compliance.

In May, the allocation was 18,778,392 barrels, with actual supply at 14,228,865 barrels, representing 75.8% compliance. In June, producers were allocated 18,172,638 barrels and supplied 18,606,026 barrels, achieving 102.4% compliance.

The Dangote Refinery required 63 million barrels in Q2 but received 68.1 million barrels, accepting only 78% of what was offered. The NUPRC reaffirmed its commitment to energy sufficiency and sustaining crude oil production gains.
