NYC and NFI Sign ₦1bn Deal to Empower 10,000 Youths

The Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC) has formalized a strategic partnership agreement worth ₦1 billion with Nehemiah Foundation International (NFI) aimed at empowering 10,000 youths and women across Nigeria over a three-year period. The agreement was sealed during a presidential signing ceremony in Abuja on Thursday, marking the launch of the National Youth Transformation Program.

This initiative seeks to advance structured youth empowerment and sustainable development nationwide. Beneficiaries will receive targeted support in key sectors, including agriculture, information and communication technology (ICT), digital skills, metal technical skills, and entrepreneurship development.

Engr. Annum Jethro Terhil, President of NYC, described the initiative as a significant step towards translating youth empowerment policies into practical outcomes, prioritizing job creation and skill acquisition.

The program is designed with a strong governance framework, including joint project monitoring and independent audits. NFI will provide strategic technical support, while NYC will deploy its nationwide network across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to ensure inclusive participation.
