NYSC Urges Local Government Inspectors to Embrace Technology

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has called on Local Government Inspectors (LGIs) to maximize the use of technology in performing their duties. This advice was given by Mr.

Kwagh Vandi, the Director of Information Communication Technology, during a capacity-building workshop held on Tuesday in Abuja. Vandi highlighted various technological innovations that can improve service delivery within the NYSC framework.

He noted that the introduction of an integrated system, including monthly biometric clearance and several ICT-driven platforms, has significantly enhanced transparency and efficiency in the scheme's operations. However, he stressed that the sustainability of these innovations largely depends on the investment in human capital and the design of digital skills training for LGIs.

Additionally, Mr. Omotad Ayodel, the Director of Corps Welfare and Health Services, urged participants to uphold integrity in their official assignments, emphasizing the need for LGIs to embody the ideals of the NYSC.
