NYSC and JAMB Enhance Collaboration for Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) are set to strengthen their collaboration, focusing on enhanced data-sharing and expanded roles for corps members in supporting JAMB's services. This initiative was discussed during a meeting in Abuja between NYSC Director-General Brigadier-General Olakunle Nafiu and JAMB Registrar and Chief Executive Officer Professor Segun Aina.

Nafiu congratulated Aina on his recent appointment, highlighting his background as a former corps member with JAMB and his extensive professional experience. He acknowledged JAMB's crucial role in providing primary data for the online registration of prospective corps members and expressed gratitude for their ongoing support.

Aina emphasized the need for deeper collaboration to optimize corps members' services and announced plans for a new framework involving the NYSC, the National Identity Management Commission, and JAMB to facilitate seamless data changes. He also proposed deploying corps members as customer service representatives in JAMB offices to enhance engagement with young people.
