OAGF Confirms No Funds Released to PFIPC

The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) has stated that no public funds have been released to the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). Mr.

Bawa Mokwa, the Director of Press and Public Relations at OAGF, explained that the council has neither received a budgetary allocation nor financial disbursement from the federal government. The council's application to open an account with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has not been completed due to missing required documents, preventing the account from being operational.

Consequently, the PFIPC has not collected any funds, and no salaries have been paid to its staff, as no personnel have been recruited following statutory procedures. The OAGF emphasized that the PFIPC's financial expectations are tied to the 2026 budget, which has not yet reached the implementation stage.
