Osun APC Condemns Oath-Taking Allegations Against Adeleke

The Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign Council condemned viral videos suggesting that individuals took oaths to vote for Governor Ademola Adeleke and the Accord Party in the upcoming August 15 governorship election. The statement, signed by Remi Omowaiye, Head of Media and Publicity Committee, described the incident as a "Latest dimension of vote-buying," labeling it crude and morally reprehensible.

The APC claimed that the videos indicated Adeleke's desperation due to his failure to gain public support based on his record. They accused him of coercing vulnerable citizens into pledging allegiance to retain power, reflecting the economic hardship faced by Osun residents.

The APC urged security agencies and stakeholders to monitor the situation for any voter inducement. In response, The Imole Campaign Council, which supports Adeleke's re-election, dismissed the allegations as laughable and stated that the governor had no connection to the videos.
