Obasanjo Praises Tinubu's Economic Reforms and Road Project

Iyabo Obasanjo, daughter of former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's economic reforms during an interaction with newsmen in Abeokuta. She described these reforms as a significant boost to stabilizing the economy.

Obasanjo specifically mentioned the Lagos-Calabar coastal road project, stating it would create employment opportunities and enhance economic activities along the corridor while alleviating congestion on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. She expressed optimism about stabilizing the naira, emphasizing the need for improved security and international collaboration to foster trade and economic development.

Additionally, she discussed her gubernatorial ambitions, clarifying that she is not currently entering the race but is focused on preparing for the state's top job. Obasanjo highlighted the recent industrialization efforts in Ogun State, which have led to job creation and resource optimization, aiming to position the state as an industrial hub in Nigeria.
