Atiku Abubakar Addresses Wealth Probe by Obasanjo Panel

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, spoke during an interview about the origins of his wealth, revealing that former President Olusegun Obasanjo set up a panel to probe him. Atiku explained that he built his fortune through investments in various sectors, including logistics, real estate, agriculture, and education, and has been involved in business long before entering politics.

He noted that his financial history has always been clear, asserting that he has never faced corruption allegations regarding his wealth. Atiku also recalled that during Obasanjo's administration, a panel was formed that included notable figures such as Nasir El-Rufai and Nuhu Ribadu, allowing the investigation to proceed without immunity.

Currently, Atiku remains active in Nigeria's political landscape as he seeks the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress for the 2027 general elections.
