Obasanjo Denies Third Term Agenda Amid Book Controversy

During a recent appointment at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), former President Olusegun Obasanjo exhibited visible anger when confronted with allegations regarding a third term agenda. The meeting involved Dr. Agbai Ek Agbai, who presented two volumes of a book containing critical essays about Obasanjo's administration.

As Obasanjo reviewed the essays, he became particularly agitated upon encountering a piece titled "Buri Third Term." He denied any involvement with a third term campaign, asserting that he could not have authored the essay. Chief Onyema Ugochukwu, the former chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission, described the third term agenda as a hoax created by the media, defending Obasanjo against what he termed unfair accusations.
