EFCC raid: Olusegun Obasanjo Library demands N2.5bn compensation

The Olusegun Obasanjo Library is demanding N2.5 billion in compensation following a recent raid by the EFCC. The raid, which resulted in the arrest of 93 suspected internet fraudsters and the seizure of vehicles and mobile devices, allegedly caused severe damage to the library's reputation and financial standing.

The library's Managing Director, Vitalis Ortese, claimed that the EFCC operatives arrived with armed men, firing gunshots and threatening attendees. Ortese demanded immediate compensation for the arrested owner and impounded vehicles, as well as a public apology from the EFCC and Nigeria Police Force.

Failure to meet these demands within seven days would result in legal action. The library accused the EFCC and police of deliberate and malicious actions, seeking restitution for the damage caused.
