Leaders Condemn Plateau State Killings, Urge Action

Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President and a member of the African Democratic Congress, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former Governor of Kano State, condemned the recent killings in Plateau State. The incident, which occurred in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area, involved gunmen opening fire at a bar and restaurant, resulting in 28 deaths and several injuries.

The trio called for stronger measures to address the rising insecurity in the country, urging the government to move beyond routine condemnations and implement decisive actions to halt recurring violence. Obi described the attack as unacceptable and expressed sympathy for the victims' families.

Atiku lamented the ongoing insecurity affecting ordinary Nigerians, while Kwankwaso attributed the violence to deeper leadership failures. The incident has triggered widespread outrage and protests from residents demanding improved security measures.
