Obi Urges Action Against Terrorism After Borno Attacks

Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, condemned the Nigerian government's inaction in the face of escalating terrorist attacks in Borno State. He highlighted a recent incident where Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists abducted 100 women and children in Ngosh, Gwoza Local Government Area.

The attack also resulted in the death of a chief imam and a local elder, with soldiers reportedly assaulted. Obi expressed deep concern over the continuous loss of lives and the suffering of internally displaced persons (IDPs) due to poor leadership and mismanagement.

He criticized politicians for their indifference to the plight of the people and called for urgent action to dismantle the structures of insurgency. Obi emphasized that the safety and dignity of Nigerian citizens should be a priority for the government, which he believes has failed to value human life.

He warned that without decisive action, the cycle of violence would continue to threaten future generations.
