Obi Critiques Government Silence on Nigeria's Insecurity

Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate, expressed grave concerns regarding the escalating insecurity in Nigeria. He highlighted the recent attacks in the Ngosh community of Borno State, where terrorists overpowered soldiers, resulting in several civilian deaths and the abduction of 100 women and children.

Obi lamented the government's silence in response to these incidents, noting that soldiers who sacrifice their lives for the country are often overlooked. He pointed out the alarming security challenges in various states, including Nasarawa, Kogi, and Benue, where terrorist activities have disrupted economic activities and forced villagers to flee.

Obi also referenced incidents in Oyo, Ondo, and Kebbi states, where civilians have been killed and abducted. He stressed that the government's primary responsibility is to protect the lives and property of its citizens and urged leaders to prioritize safety and welfare over political ambitions.
