Peter Obi Claims Superior Experience for 2027 Race

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, declared himself more qualified than Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the incumbent president from the All Progressives Congress, and Atiku Abubakar, the candidate from the African Democratic Congress, in the upcoming 2027 presidential race. He made this assertion during a town hall meeting in Owerri, Imo State, where he engaged with local residents about their economic struggles.

Obi criticized Tinubu's administration for worsening living conditions and accumulating significant debt without improving citizens' lives. He pointed out that Tinubu has spent over 260 days abroad and has not visited Imo State since taking office.

Obi highlighted the dire state of poverty, insecurity, and education in Nigeria, stating that over 140 million people live in multidimensional poverty and around 18 million children are out of school. He emphasized his commitment to national security, unity, healthcare, education, and poverty reduction, asserting that he and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso are ready to address Nigeria's challenges.
