Peter Obi Becomes Sole NDC Presidential Aspirant

Peter Obi has been confirmed as the sole presidential aspirant for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) following a screening process conducted by a 17-member committee. The committee, headed by Sam Egwu, a former two-term governor of Ebonyi State, was inaugurated to assess presidential, governorship, and senatorial aspirants.

Obi arrived at the NDC headquarters in Abuja at 6:45 PM, dressed in a black kaftan and cap, and was accompanied by Senator Victor Umeh. He had previously purchased the presidential nomination form, which was extended for sale until Tuesday, May 26.

The committee's formation was announced by the NDC's national secretary, Barr Ikenna Morgan, and Barr Reuben Egwuaba serves as the committee's secretary.
