Oborevwori Promises Neutrality in Delta APC Primaries

Ayirimi Emami, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, disclosed that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has committed to remaining neutral during the party primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections. Emami made this statement during an address to journalists in Egbokodo, Warri, where he expressed support for various aspirants, including Hon.

Michael Diden for the Delta South Senatorial seat, Hon. Mofe Edema for the Warri South Constituency, and Dr.

Andrew Igban for the Warri South West Constituency. Emami emphasized that the governor's neutrality is crucial for the integrity of the primaries, allowing aspirants to compete fairly.

He also acknowledged the need to follow due legal processes in the electoral framework, urging the Itsekiri people to remain committed to peace and cooperation with neighboring ethnic groups. The event was attended by notable figures, including Olorogun Michael Od and Tuoyo Ebigbeyi, who pledged support for Emami's political stance.
