Ochigbo Named NDP Governorship Candidate for 2027

Matthew Ochigbo has emerged as the governorship candidate for the National Democratic Party (NDP) in Benue State for the upcoming 2027 general elections. The announcement was made by Isaiah Adadu, the party's representative, on Tuesday in Makurdi.

Ochigbo's nomination was secured through a primary election conducted via affirmation consensus, where he ran unopposed and received unanimous endorsement from delegates representing the 23 local government areas of the state. The exercise was monitored by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and personnel from the Department of State Services (DSS).

Following his nomination, Ochigbo expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and emphasized his commitment to serving the people of Benue State.
