Manchester United Signs Chelsea's Andrey Santos for £50M

Manchester United has officially completed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos for £50 million. The 22-year-old Brazilian has signed a contract that will keep him at Old Trafford until June 2031, with an option for an additional year.

The deal includes an upfront payment of £48 million, with a potential £2 million in performance-related bonuses. Chelsea retains a 10% sell-on clause in the agreement.

Santos is viewed as a key addition to Manchester United's midfield, particularly following the departure of Casemiro and the injury to Manuel Ugarte. Santos described the transfer as a realization of his childhood ambition, citing the club's history and tradition as significant factors in his decision.

He is eager to work under manager Michael Carrick and contribute to the team's pursuit of major trophies. Santos has already joined the club's pre-season training and is expected to make his debut in an upcoming match against Wrexham.
