Ogun ADC Rejects Financial Mismanagement Allegations

The Ogun State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed allegations of financial impropriety against its chairman, Olufemi Soluad. Adesina Olanrewaju, the party's Director of Media and Communications, described the claims as misleading and baseless.

The allegations were reportedly submitted by a group to the national leadership of the party, accusing Soluad of mismanaging funds intended for the purchase of nomination forms for the upcoming 2027 elections. Olanrewaju stated that a review of the allegations found no evidence supporting the claims, asserting that funds were sent directly to the ADC national secretariat.

He clarified that the funds in question were strictly for purchasing nomination forms for aspirants. Olanrewaju also mentioned that there were attempts by a parallel group within the party to disrupt preparations for the presidential primaries in Ogun State, which he found concerning.

He emphasized that the party has documented evidence to disprove the allegations made against Soluad.
