Ogun APC Candidate Launches Re-electrification Project

Solomon Adeola, the APC gubernatorial candidate for Ogun State, officially launched a re-electrification project aimed at restoring power to 50 communities in the Waterside Local Government Area. This initiative was announced during a town hall meeting attended by community leaders, traditional rulers, and youth representatives.

The project addresses the needs of thousands of residents who have lived without electricity for decades, impacting their socio-economic activities. Adeola emphasized the importance of community ownership in protecting the infrastructure against vandalism.

He was accompanied by his deputy governorship candidate, Abiodun Adegunwa Balogun. The project is expected to commence with contractor mobilization and is scheduled for completion by December 2026.

Additionally, Adeola revealed plans to construct a large solar-powered market in Ogun Waterside to enhance economic opportunities for traders, with construction set to begin within two weeks.
