Ogun APC Primary Criticized for Democratic Failures

Hunye asserted that every section of Ogun State deserves the opportunity to contribute to leadership, emphasizing that the primary did not reflect the genuine choice of party members. He raised concerns about whether democratic principles were fully observed and noted that he, along with other aspirants, felt the need to protect the integrity of the democratic process within the party.

Hunye mentioned that he would seek legal redress if necessary, adhering to the provisions of the electoral act, which stipulates a 14-day limit for filing pre-election matters. He expressed confidence in the Nigerian judiciary to uphold justice and stated that his campaign enjoyed significant grassroots support despite the challenges faced during the primary.
