Ogun APC suspends Senator Daniel, Folarin over alleged anti-party allegations

The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended Senator Gbenga Daniel and Hon. Kunle Folarin indefinitely over alleged anti-party activities.

The decision was made following a disciplinary proceeding initiated by the State Working Committee (SWC) after a meeting in Sagamu Local Government on August 19. Despite being invited to appear before the committee and submit a written defense, both Daniel and Folarin reportedly ignored the summons.

The SWC accused the two politicians of misconduct and attempting to pressure party members to withdraw a petition filed against them. The suspension is pending a review, with the SWC stating that it is necessary to uphold the integrity of the party's constitution and strengthen internal discipline.

The APC State Director of Publicity, Nuberu Olufemi, confirmed the development, emphasizing the party's commitment to fairness, accountability, and respect for rules and regulations.
